The Ladle and the Line

Rami juggles his after-school work at the masjid food bank with a chance to join a city robotics team. When he chooses practice over a crucial Ramadan delivery and families are turned away, he loses Nabil’s trust—and then his spot on the robotics team. Facing the weight of his choices, he returns to the basement to own what he did, and finds a quieter way forward at the sink beside his sister and Nabil, scrubbing the last heavy pot while the ladle rings softly against the metal.
